Delivery and Shipping

Nonperishable items ship within 48 business hours. Perishable items ship seasonally during mild weather, i.e. winter preorders ship in spring, summer preorders ship in fall.

Forb Feast Chicory is a hardy, deep-rooted perennial that delivers nutrient-rich forage and supports long-term soil health with beautiful blue flowers. Its mineral-rich leaves are highly digestible for livestock—and irresistible to deer. Used as a sacrificial crop, chicory can draw heavy browsing pressure away from young trees, gardens, or more sensitive plantings, giving them a chance to establish.

Drought-tolerant and quick to regrow after grazing, chicory thrives in a variety of soils and works beautifully in silvopasture, wildlife plots, and regenerative grazing systems.

Best use: Deer diversion, forage, soil building, pasture diversity
Sow: Spring through early fall
Height: 12–36 in
Growth window: Perennial; peak production in first 2–3 years
Seeding rate: ~0.25–0.5 lb per 1,000 sq ft or 4–8 lbs per acre in mixes
